http://encyclopedia.thefreedictionary.com/European+Union ,
The European Union (EU) is an economic and political union of 27 member states which are located primarily in Europe.[7] The EU traces its origins from

the European Coal and Steel Community (ECSC) and the European Economic Community (EEC) formed by six countries in the 1950s. In the intervening years the EU has grown, in size, by the accession of new member states and, in power, by the addition of policy areas to its remit. The Maastricht Treaty established the European Union under its current name in 1993.[8] The last amendment to the constitutional basis of the EU, the Treaty of Lisbon, came into force in 2009.

http://encyclopedia.thefreedictionary.com/quantum+field+theory ,
Quantum field theory (QFT)[1] provides a theoretical framework for constructing quantum mechanical models of systems classically parametrized (represented) by an infinite number of dynamical

degrees of freedom, that is, fields and (in a condensed matter context) many-body systems. It is the natural and quantitative language of particle physics and condensed matter physics. Most theories in modern particle physics, including the Standard Model of elementary particles and their interactions, are formulated as relativistic quantum field theories. Quantum field theories are used in many contexts, elementary particle physics being the most vital example, where the particle count/number going into a reaction fluctuates and changes, differing from the count/number going out, for example, and for the description of critical phenomena and quantum phase transitions, such as in the BCS theory of superconductivity, also see phase transition, quantum phase transition, critical phenomena. Quantum field theory is thought by many to be the unique and correct outcome of combining the rules of quantum mechanics with special relativity.

3.                                  Spacetime

spacetime                                   (t/P + ime/T)/Ch                                   time

http://www.thefreedictionary.com/Spacetime ,
A Closer Look     Albert Einstein's theory of General Relativity, published in 1915, extended his theory of Special Relativity to systems that are accelerating.

One of the primary causes of acceleration in the universe is gravity, and Einstein showed that the effects of acceleration are actually the same as those of the force of gravity; in fact, they are locally indistinguishable. For instance, both in an accelerating rocket in space and in a rocket standing on its launch pad on Earth, the astronauts are pushed back into their seats. Unlike Newtonian physics, which views gravity as an attractive force between all bodies in the universe, General Relativity describes the universe in terms of a continuous space-time fabric that is curved by masses located within it. In the space-time continuum of General Relativity, events are defined in terms of four dimensions: three of space, and one of time, with one coordinate for each dimension; we continuously "move" along the time dimension. What does it mean, though, for space-time to be curved? One way of conceptualizing this is to imagine just a two-dimensional space-time, with one spatial dimension and one time dimension. But instead of an infinite plane, imagine a tube, with an object's position in time defined by a coordinate of length along the tube, and position in space by a coordinate around the circumference of the tube. An object traveling uniformly through space then describes a helix along this tube, eventually returning to its starting space-coordinate position, but at a different time. (It is an open question in cosmology as to whether our universe has a similar curvature in three dimensions; if so, traveling in one direction long enough would bring you back to where you began.) An important consequence of the notion of curved space-time is that the curvature should affect all motion; thus, even light, which has no mass, should follow a curved path wherever gravity has warped space-time. An important verification of this --- which made headlines around the world --- took place during a solar eclipse on May 29, 1919, when it was observed that light from stars near the Sun was bent by an angle exactly predicted by the expected curvature of space-time near the massive Sun. Space-time can in principle be warped so strongly by a huge mass that any radiation emitted from the mass curves back in again and cannot escape. These huge masses are thought to exist as black holes.

In physics, spacetime (or space–time; or space/time) is any mathematical model that combines space and time into a single continuum. Spacetime is usually

interpreted with space being three-dimensional and time playing the role of a fourth dimension that is of a different sort from the spatial dimensions. According to certain Euclidean space perceptions, the universe has three dimensions of space and one dimension of time. By combining space and time into a single manifold, physicists have significantly simplified a large number of physical theories, as well as described in a more uniform way the workings of the universe at both the supergalactic and subatomic levels.

4.    relativity,  Principle of relativity,  General relativity,  Special relativity,  Numerical relativity, etc.

relativity                             ([ŋ=  y=]/P + Einstein/T)                             Einstein

http://www.thefreedictionary.com/relativity ,
A Closer Look     Albert Einstein's two theories of relativity were the first successful revisions of Newtonian mechanics --- a mechanics so simple and intuitive

that it was held to be a permanent fixture of physics. Uniting the theories is the idea that two observers traveling relative to each other may have different perceptions of time and space, yet the laws of nature are still uniform, and certain properties always remain invariant. Einstein developed the first theory, the theory of Special Relativity (1905), to explain and extend certain consequences of Maxwell's equations describing electromagnetism, in particular, addressing a puzzle surrounding the speed of light in a vacuum, which was predicted always to be the same, whether the light source is stationary or moving. Special Relativity considers the laws of nature from the point of view of frames of reference upon which no forces are acting, and describes the way time, distance, mass, and energy must be perceived by observers who are in uniform motion relative to each other if the speed of light must always turn out the same for all observers. Two implications of Special Relativity are space and time dilation. As speed increases, space is compressed in the direction of the motion, and time slows down. A famous example is the space traveler who returns to Earth younger than his Earth-dwelling twin, his biological processes proceeding more slowly due to his relative speed. These effects are very small at the speeds we normally experience but become significant at speeds approaching the speed of light (known as relativistic speeds). Perhaps the best-known implication of Special Relativity is the equation E=mc2, which expresses a close relation between energy and mass. The speed of light is a large number (about 300,000 km per second, or 186,000 mi per second), so the equation suggests that even small amounts of mass can be converted into enormous amounts of energy, a fact exploited by atomic power and weaponry. Einstein's General Theory of relativity extended his Special Theory to include non-inertial reference frames, frames acted on by forces and undergoing acceleration, as in cases involving gravity. The General Theory revolutionized the way gravity, too, was understood. Since Einstein, gravity is seen as a curvature in space-time itself.

In physics, the principle of relativity is the requirement that the equations describing the laws of physics have the same form in all admissible frames of reference.

B)                                     General relativity

"general relativity"                      ([ŋ=  y=]/S + Einstein/C2)/Ch                     Einstein

http://encyclopedia.thefreedictionary.com/general+relativity ,
General relativity or the general theory of relativity is the geometric theory of gravitation published by Albert Einstein in 1915. It is

the current description of gravitation in modern physics. General relativity generalises special relativity and Newton's law of universal gravitation, providing a unified description of gravity as a geometric property of space and time, or spacetime. In particular, the curvature of spacetime is directly related to the four-momentum (mass-energy and linear momentum) of whatever matter and radiation are present. The relation is specified by the Einstein field equations, a system of partial differential equations.

Special relativity (SR, also known as the special theory of relativity or STR) is the physical theory of measurement in inertial frames

of reference proposed in 1905 by Albert Einstein (after the considerable and independent contributions of Hendrik Lorentz, Henri Poincaré and others) in the paper "On the Electrodynamics of Moving Bodies".[1] It generalizes Galileo's principle of relativity—that all uniform motion is relative, and that there is no absolute and well-defined state of rest (no privileged reference frames)—from mechanics to all the laws of physics, including both the laws of mechanics and of electrodynamics, whatever they may be.[2] Special relativity incorporates the principle that the speed of light is the same for all inertial observers regardless of the state of motion of the source.[3]

5.                                   Einstein Albert

http://www.thefreedictionary.com/Einstein+Albert ,
Biography     By around 1900, the increased precision of new measuring instruments had shown that the laws of motion and gravity established by Galileo and Newton were unable

to explain certain phenomena. The observed orbit of Mercury, for example, differed slightly from that predicted by Newton, and laws describing the motion of electromagnetic waves left many electrical effects unexplained. In 1905, an unknown 26-year-old patent office clerk named Albert Einstein published four papers that not only solved these problems, but revolutionized physics. The first two presented his Special Theory of Relativity, which departed from the classical Newtonian concepts of space and time in its assertion that all reference frames (all coordinate systems) do not measure space and time equivalently. That is, space and time are not the same throughout the universe, but depend on the motion of the observer. But for Einstein, not everything was relative. Following the electromagnetic theory of Maxwell, Einstein argued that the speed of light is the same for all observers, and introduced a new concept of space-time to reconcile this with concepts of relative motion. He also introduced the famous equation expressing a direct relation between mass and energy, E = mc2, known as mass-energy equivalence. A third paper analyzed electromagnetic radiation such as light in terms of particles called photons, and explained how some substances, when exposed to such radiation, eject electrons in a quantum process called the photoelectric effect. A fourth paper explained the random movement of particles suspended in a fluid, now known as Brownian motion. In 1916, in his General Theory of Relativity, Einstein described gravity as a warping of space-time (as opposed to Newton's force) caused by the mere presence of objects possessing mass. Einstein's new conception of gravity correctly predicted Mercury's observed orbit, and his work on photons led to a more accurate description of electromagnetic radiation. In his later years, Einstein devoted himself to a search for a theory that would unify gravity with the other three fundamental forces in nature: the strong force, the electromagnetic force, and the weak force. This search is still ongoing.

Albert Einstein ( /ælbərt aɪnstaɪn/; German: [albɐt aɪnʃtaɪn]; 14 March 1879 – 18 April 1955) was a German-born theoretical physicist who developed the general theory of relativity, effecting a revolution in physics. For this achievement, Einstein is often regarded as the

father of modern physics[2][3] and the most influential physicist of the 20th century. While best known for his mass–energy equivalence formula E = mc2 (which has been dubbed "the world's most famous equation"),[4] he received the 1921 Nobel Prize in Physics "for his services to theoretical physics, and especially for his discovery of the law of the photoelectric effect".[5] The latter was pivotal in establishing quantum theory within physics.
