(Comparative) study (in structure/mode/ways of pronunciation, articulation, phonetics, or whatever; that is, in differences of speaking mouth postures and resultant speaking weight/force center points) between English/foreign languages and mother tongue, for better (more practical/effective/smooth) hearing/speaking of English/foreign languages.       Copyright.   Young-Won Kim,   yw@voicespec.com

Subject   Q & A      between cognitive linguistics/etc. and phonetics.
Q >>    It is said:          Linguistic psychologists and cognitive linguists/etc. think/say     not that words are (simply) stored in the human brain independently/separately/discretely (from) each other    but that words (stored) in the brain are interconnected each other so as to make the network of meaningful mutuality among words.     That is, the word/vocabulary network of the brain makes people able to imagine/associate more related words from one word which the speaker is (once) uttering or hear/seeing.

For example, (uttering or hear/seeing of) "salt" makes people soon able to associate/imagine "pepper"     because of co-ordination between "salt" and "pepper".

(Uttering or hear/seeing of) "cold" makes people soon able to associate/imagine "hot"    and "right" makes people soon able to associate/imagine "left"      because of opposition between "cold" and "hot"    and between "right" and "left".

Or "salt" makes people soon able to associate/imagine "brine"     because of collocation between "salt" and "brine".

"butterfly" makes people soon able to associate/imagine "bug"     because of superordination between "butterfly" and "bug".

"beautiful" makes people soon able to associate/imagine "pretty/lovely"     because of synonymy between "beautiful" and "pretty/lovely".

Aitchson. J (of "Word in the Mind:  An Introduction to the Mental Lexicon") has derived the below (strength) order in the vocabulary meaning network of the brain:

co-ordination > collocation > superordination > synonymy

Then, Can you find any relation between your theory (of "the primary/secondary speaking postures/etc.) and the concepts of Aitchson. J on the vocabulary meaning network of the brain??

A *    See/reviewing of world linguistic materials lets me find/feel that the conventional linguists have accumulated very much  (which is very helpful for me)  even though they have studied based on rules of thumb  since they do not know genuine phonetics.             That is,    in like wise that the drawing of an elephant sketched in the dark, through the method of feel/touching it, by a man who has not seen elephant, can be quite excellent,    the conventional linguists have accumulated valuable materials of big quantity (which is very helpful for me)  while they have studied based on rules of thumb  since they do not know genuine phonetics.

You have seen that I often mention the primary speaking posture, the secondary speaking posture, etc.:     that is, most languages take not single but double speaking postures.         I (can) take multiple speaking postures of various languages intentionally/artificially/consciously,    but (genuine-phonetics-ignorant) linguistic psychologists and cognitive linguists have (unexpectedly/accidentally) found co-ordination between "salt" and "pepper"    while unconsciously coming to take speaking postures by chance.

"salt" is a word of English primary/P speaking posture and "pepper" is a word of English secondary/S speaking posture.          "salt" and "pepper" are corresponding each other,     where correspondence means       that trying to articulate/speak "pepper" from/with English /P posture automatically/essentially produce/pronounces "salt"    and that trying to articulate/speak "salt" from/with English /S posture automatically/essentially produce/pronounces "pepper".

It is praiseworthy that (genuine-phonetics-ignorant) linguistic psychologists and cognitive linguists have found co-ordination/etc. among words.

"cold, right, salt, bug, beautiful" are words of English /P posture     and "hot, left, brine, butterfly, pretty" are words of English /S posture;     they correspond each other respectively.

"beautiful" is a word spoken in the mouth/Mo     and "lovely" is a word spoken in the chest/Ch; "beautiful" and "lovely" correspond each other.

I now find that current/modern world/university phonetics is naively primitive/fake and that most theories of linguistics can't help being inevitably equal to or not above the level of concocted/adorned unreasonableness/absurdity/fake.

Believe (it) or not,       the vocabularies and grammar(s) of all (modern and Inca/Maya-like-disappeared-antique) languages (including their dialects) are already stored in human brain at birth  (and now in your/my brains also).     That is,    I mean   not that POTENTIAL to learn any language is there as an innate HUMAN ABILITY,    but that your brain now has the vocabulary and grammar of Korean language (and Chinese, Japanese, etc. included)    and my brain also now has the vocabulary and grammar of *** language (and German, French, etc. included).          We only do not have effective/efficient experience/chance to use them.

That is,   ALL FOREIGN LANGUAGES with their words (except some special words/neologisms like "NATO") and grammars are inside a newborn's head.

Babies/people unconsciously accustom themselves to acquiring how to use/speak only their mother tongue,      in like wise that they become right or left handler.
I have world-firstly found how to take out words/grammars/etc. of various languages from the brain and speaking postures/etc.
